In Death and Entrances for AnOther Magazine’s Art Project, Harley Weir turns the camera on herself, documenting her changing body from ten weeks pregnant through to the final months. Styled by Georgia Pendlebury, the series moves between self-portraiture, performance and autobiography, taking in sexuality, love and fear in anticipation of motherhood as mind and body adapt to a new purpose. Speaking to Susannah Frankel, Weir reflects on vanity, vulnerability and the masks attached to femininity, while reclaiming pregnancy from centuries of images made largely by men.
